What do we look at during a color analysis?
During a color analysis, we use a wide variety of color drapes, color flags, and color cards to determine your color type.
Your color type depends on your eye color, hair color, skin tone, and the contrast between them. By holding different colors up to your face, we can see which colors make your natural features shine and which ones don’t. For example, if you have beautiful blue eyes, you’ll notice that certain shades of blue make your eyes appear brighter. Or if you naturally have a warm skin tone, colors with warm undertones will look best on you. You’ll discover exactly which colors these are during a color analysis.
How many color types are there?
Many people are familiar with the four seasons: winter, spring, summer, and fall. This forms the basis of color consultation. In reality, however, there are many more nuances. At Studio Loulou, we work with 21 color types, ensuring that your color consultation is fully tailored to your natural undertones, style, and personality. This approach provides you with much more personalized and accurate advice than if we were to rely solely on the four seasons.

Color advice for men
A color analysis can be incredibly valuable for men, too. Think about choosing the right colors for a suit, work clothes, or outfits for special occasions. The right colors make you look fresher, more confident, and more professional. Men often find it much more enjoyable and interesting than they expect, and their partners are usually thrilled with the results as well.
Many men automatically opt for a black suit with a white shirt for an important meeting or a (business) event. That’s a shame, because if you’re a warm color type, you’ll look washed-out and cold in a black suit. A warm color type would be much better off choosing a dark brown or warm blue suit.
Did you know that there’s also a huge difference depending on which shade of blue you choose? Tom, with his blue eyes and a warm undertone, is a Medium Warm color type. That means he’s best off choosing a blue suit with a slightly warm undertone, because that highlights his eyes and gives him a fresher look. It suits him so much better than black or gray.
